FEMINIST SOCIAL WORK IN HANDLING THE ISSUES OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN BY CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATION

 

Abstrak:

Kekerasan terhadap perempuan masih menjadi salah satu permasalahan yang ada di masyarakat Indonesia. Penanganan isu kekerasan terhadap perempuan tersebut juga melibatkan aktor-aktor di luar pemerintah, salah satunya adalah Civil Society Organization (CSO) atau Organisasi Masyarakat Sipil. CSO merupakan salah satu aktor yang dapat memenuhi peranan, dan juga untuk membawa dan melibatkan pandangan alternatif dalam penanganan korban kekerasan terhadap perempuan. Salah satu pandangan alternatif dalam penanganan korban adalah dengan menerapkan perspektif pekerjaan sosial feminis. Perspektif pekerjaan sosial feminis tersebut dilihat dari prinsip dan strategi yang dikemukakan oleh Payne (2014). Penelitian ini mencoba untuk mengkaji penerapan perspektif pekerjaan sosial feminis, yang dilihat dari prinsip dan strategi, dalam penanganan isu kekerasan terhadap perempuan oleh CSO di Indonesia. Adapun prinsip tersebut antara lain commonalities, active discussion, empathy, dan partnership. Sedangkan strategi antara lain consciousness-raising, reflexivity, dialogue, self-identity, dan ethics of care. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan mempelajari studi kasus dan penelitian terdahulu.

Adapula dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat tersusunnya artikel yang ditargetkan utuk bisa dipublikasikan ke jurnal internasional terindeks Scopus Q2.

Abstract:

Violence against women has been one of the issue which presist in Indonesia. The resolution of its cases has also involve various actor other than the government, one of them being the Civil Soceity Organization (CSO). CSO is one of the actor which not only could fulfill the role to handling the case of violence against women, but also to bring and incorporate an alternative perspective in solving the issue of violence against women. One of the alternatives to handle the issue of violence agaisnt women is by adopting the feminist social work perspective. The perspective of feminist social work could be based by the principle and the strategy suggested by Payne (2014). This research aims to analyze how the adoption of the feminist social work perspective, based from its principle and strategy, on the intervention of violence against women issues done by CSO in Indonesia. This research will be done in qualitative manner by involving 6 informants who are involved in handling the case on violence against women issues. As for the principles of feminist social work are commonalities, active discussion, empathy, and partnership. Meanwhile, the strategies included in feminist social work are consciousness-raising, reflexifity, dialogue, self-identity, and ethics of care.

It is also hoped that from this research, there will be compilation of articles which are targeted to be published in international journals indexed Scopus Q2.
