Center for Environment and Sustainability Sciences (CESS) is the current institution which was previously known as Institute of Ecology that established since 1972, by the Rector of Universitas Padjadjaran Decree No: 43/Kep/UNPAD/72. CESS is nationally acknowledge by the Ministry of Higher Education as the first cluster center of excellence that develops inter- and transdisciplinary environmental studies and the sustainability science, as well as disseminates the knowledge for sustainable development. The research results have been disseminated with the scientific community, decision makers, planners, managers, and the public through publications, mass media, seminars, and other official meetings at the national and international levels.
